And You Thought Today Was An Ordinary Wednesday
Today is the first day of the second half of 2020! The pandemic has made work a bit of a roller-coaster when most of us had to pivot and work-from-home. As we try to figure out our "new normal" make sure you don't lose sight of your goals. What were your New Year's resolutions - can you even think back to January when you made them?!
As you think about what you want to achieve this year - and there's still time, we hope you remember to put honing your social skills on the list for the simple reason that they lead to success.
85% of one’s professional success is connected to one’s social skills -so they can definitely help you climb the corporate ladder or succeed as an entrepreneur. And if that’s the statistic for professional success just imagine what the impact is on one’s personal life!
Social skills and manners make every human interaction you have more pleasant - in your professional as well as your personal life. And when we say manners help improve every human relationship you have, we also mean manners help you with your relationship with yourself. Manners are the foundation of self-care and lead to self respect.
Now is a great time to take inventory and decide what you want out of life (professionally and personally), set some year-end goals and refocus on your manners and social skills so that they work for you, instead of against you. If you need help figuring out where to start - try our book, The Marvelous Millennial's Manual to Modern Manners.
We can’t wait to see what you do next!
Have a great rest of the week.
