Be Well-Mannered. Be On Time.

"Life be not so short but that there is always time for courtesy." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Being on time for business meetings is one of the most important meeting etiquette rules there is. Why? Becaue when you are habitually late for meetings you are telling others you do not value their time as much as your own. You are telling them you do not respect them. This behavior reflects poorly on you. It is not good for your business reputation.

Let's make being on time one of our new year's resolutions. It takes discipline and planning to wisely manage your time. When you do the resultant dividends are marvelous. You are more organized, efficient, pleasant and less flustered. Work encounters are more enjoyable for you and those with whom you cross paths. When you manage your time and are prompt for appointments you let the other person know you value their time too.

Managing your time enables you to have time to be a thoughtful, professional person who is considerate of other people, which is at the core of being well-mannered.

Have a marvelous week- Catherine
